What To-Do is

To-Do is a shared checklist app. You create deals and lists, work through their items, and everyone in the same space sees the same thing. It is operated by one person, not a company, and it is free — there is no charge today, and you would be told before that ever changed.

It is not your system of record

This is the most important thing on this page. To-Do is a convenience checklist. It is not a transaction management system, not a brokerage file, not an audit trail, and not proof that anything was done.

Do not rely on it to satisfy your broker’s requirements, your state’s record-keeping rules, your licensing obligations, or any dispute about what happened and when. Keep the authoritative file wherever your brokerage and your regulator require it. Ticking a box here is a note to yourself and your colleagues, nothing more.

Your account

You sign in with your Apple ID, and that is the only way in — there is no separate password to set or to lose. Keep your Apple ID to yourself: anything done with your account is treated as done by you. One account is one person; do not share a sign-in with a colleague, invite them into the space instead.

Your content

What you type stays yours. You are giving permission only for To-Do to store it and show it to the members of the spaces you put it in, because otherwise the app cannot work.

You are responsible for what you enter. If you are putting a client’s name, a property address, or transaction details into a shared space, that is your call to make under your own confidentiality and licensing obligations, and you must have the right to do it.

Shared spaces

Anyone in a space can read, edit, and delete everything in it, including things you created. Adding someone is not reversible in the sense that matters: they will have seen what was there.

Invites are single-use, expire after 24 hours, and need both the QR code (or link) and the separate four-digit code. Treat both like a key to the space, because that is what they are.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• Use To-Do for anything unlawful, or to store data you have no right to hold.
• Try to reach another account or another space’s data by any means.
• Probe, scan, overload, or otherwise attack the service or the server it runs on.
• Scrape it, automate bulk access to it, or resell access to it.
• Upload anything harassing, abusive, or infringing.

Availability

To-Do runs on a single privately operated server. It will sometimes be slow, sometimes be down for maintenance or a power cut, and could one day be switched off for good. There is no uptime commitment and no service level of any kind. Keep your own copy of anything you would hate to lose.

Ending it

You can stop using To-Do whenever you like, and you can ask for your account to be deleted — see the Privacy Policy for how that works and what it does and does not remove.

An account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other people’s data at risk, may be suspended or removed. The service itself may be discontinued, with as much notice as is practical.

No warranty

To-Do is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost deals, lost data, or a deadline you missed because a checklist was wrong, incomplete, or unavailable.

Because To-Do is free, total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you have paid to use it, which is nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these exclusions, in which case they apply only as far as that jurisdiction permits.

Changes to these terms

These terms can change. When they do, the date at the top moves, and a material change will be flagged in the app. Continuing to use To-Do after a change means you accept the new version.

Governing law

This clause is unfinished on purpose and must be completed by the operator before these terms are relied on.
